Organic PDO 10-12 months Grana Padano
Grana Padano PDO is one of the most appreciated and internationally recognized Italian cheeses.
Grana Padano DOP is produced in thirty-two provinces: Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Piedmont, Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto. In particular, in the Autonomous Province of Trento it takes the name of Trentingrana. All the stages of the production chain, from the milking of the cows to the breeding, from the collection and processing of the milk to the maturing of the cheese, must take place exclusively in the area of origin.
For the production of Organic Grana Padano PDO, it is essential to use high quality milk from cows fed with organic feed and a balanced diet. The milk is then transformed into cheese through an artisanal process. The cheese undergoes a slow maturing process that can last more than 12 months, during which it acquires its characteristic intense and aromatic flavor.
Organic Grana Padano DOP is a hard, grainy cheese with a straw-yellow color and a crumbly texture. It is often grated and used in many Italian recipes such as risotto alla parmigiana, pasta alla carbonara, salads and more.
