An Entry that Strengthens the Consortium

Gourm.it continues to grow, welcoming Latteria San Pietro among its members, a historic and highly specialized entity in the production of Grana Padano DOP, with a strong vocation for innovation, sustainability, and the well-being of people. This entry represents a strategic step for the consortium, which enriches itself with a producer of excellence capable of combining tradition, quality, and social commitment.

Latteria San Pietro: A History of Cooperation and Quality

Founded in 1966, Latteria San Pietro arose from the intuition of a group of agricultural companies in the Upper Mantuan Plain, eager to create a solid and innovative cooperative system. Today, the dairy brings together 25 agricultural companies and processes over 400,000 quintals of milk each year, coming from a limited area of just 30 km, characterized by a raw material of the highest quality.

"We have always believed in the value of cooperation and the identity of our territory," says Stefano Pezzini, President of Latteria San Pietro. "One of our strengths is the milk from stable meadows, an excellence that tells our story and allows us to produce a unique Grana Padano, recognized among the most prestigious within the DOP area."

In recent years, the dairy has invested in production differentiation, adding new product lines to the traditional Grana Padano, such as Organic Grana Padano, Hay Selection Grana Padano, and Kosher Grana Padano, responding to the needs of increasingly specialized markets.

Quality and Certifications: A Constant Commitment

Respect for tradition goes hand in hand with rigorous attention to quality. Simona Rotondo, Quality Manager of Latteria San Pietro, emphasizes how the plant operates according to ISO 9001:2015 certified standards and follows a unified quality system with the member farms, ensuring constant control over the raw material and the finished product.

"We are a great team, working with a single goal: to produce a Grana Padano that meets the highest standards. For this reason, every stage of production is followed with the utmost care and attention, making the best use of our milk," explains Rotondo.

Latteria San Pietro and Export: A Bridge Between Tradition and Global Markets

Innovation and quality have allowed Latteria San Pietro to conquer international markets as well. Thanks to Kosher certification, the dairy has opened the doors to exports to Israel and the United States, strategic markets for the company's growth.

"We have always seen export as an opportunity," says Laura Zecchini, Communication and Sales Manager. "With Kosher Grana Padano, we have managed to enter a highly regulated market like the Israeli one, and this certification also offers us great prospects in the United States, where the Jewish community is very present."

In addition to the kosher markets, Latteria San Pietro exports its Grana Padano throughout Europe, consolidating an internationalization strategy based on the quality and specialization of products.

A Business Model that Values People

Latteria San Pietro is not only a dairy excellence but also a company that focuses on the well-being of people. For years, it has developed an innovative corporate welfare system, which guarantees greater flexibility for employees and a better balance between work and personal life.

"Work should not be just an obligation, but a part of life that deserves to be valued in the right way," says Stefano Pezzini. For this reason, the company has introduced benefits ranging from health and family care, to school support for parenthood, up to the reduction of working hours for production staff.

Another distinctive element is the significant female presence within the organization. The entire administrative, logistics, quality, and communication part is managed by women, demonstrating a concrete commitment to enhancing female talent in a sector traditionally linked to men.

The attention to well-being is also reflected in the company spaces: the dairy has a large garden, a company gym, a cheese vending machine, and charging points for electric cars and bicycles, promoting a corporate culture attentive to sustainability and the balance between work and quality of life.

A New Chapter for Gourm.it and Latteria San Pietro

The entry of Latteria San Pietro into Gourm.it is not just a new commercial opportunity but represents a meeting between two realities that share fundamental values: quality, innovation, and attention to people. With this new partnership, Gourm.it strengthens its commitment to promoting authentic and certified products, bringing the best of Made in Italy agri-food to international tables.

A step forward towards the future, in the name of excellence and sustainability.
