This is a pear jam, produced as per Senga tradition with fruit grown within the company boundaries and without preservatives or thickeners. The pears are peeled, sliced by hand and boiled, long and slowly, with sugar, lemon, ginger and Lambrusco. Lambrusco Mantovano Doc, a sour and sparkling red wine, adds a decisive and enveloping note to the classic sweetness of the pear, for an intoxicating result. 

 

The extra pear jam with Lambrusco Mantovano Doc is excellent tasted on its own, but its drunken, sparkling combination is perfect to enliven fresh, creamy cheeses, or as a mouth-watering finish on a bowl of ice cream.
