Caseificio Milanello celebrated a great success at the World Cheese Awards 2024, held in Viseu, Portugal. This prestigious international event, which awards the world's best cheeses, recognised the excellence of the Parmigiano Reggiano PDO produced with passion and skill by the dairy.
The 23-month Parmigiano Reggiano won the Gold Medal, distinguishing itself for its unique balance of sweetness, flavour and creamy texture, perfect for a young but already rich in character maturation.
Not to be outdone, Parmigiano Reggiano 24-29 months and Parmigiano Reggiano 30-39 months each won the Silver Medal, thanks to their aromatic complexity, which best expresses the Italian cheese-making tradition.
Finally, Parmigiano Reggiano 40 months was awarded the Bronze Medal for its intensity of flavour, crumbly structure and complex, ripe notes, the result of a long and careful maturing process.
These awards underline Caseificio Milanello's commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards, following strict controls along the entire production chain, from milk to maturing.
