Founded in 1925, Caseificio Croce has a rich tradition in cheesemaking. Located in Pegognaga, in the Mantua region within the Parmigiano Reggiano production area, it was established by small dairy farmers who united to enhance the value of their milk. They became pioneers in crafting this “king of cheeses” even before the Parmigiano Reggiano Protection Consortium was founded, driven by their passion and expertise to create a cheese that, a century later, remains a symbol of quality and craftsmanship.

In recent years, Caseificio Croce has received major international recognition at the prestigious World Cheese Awards, one of the most renowned and global cheese competitions celebrating excellence in cheese, with producers, retailers, and food commentators from over 40 countries. The World Cheese Awards is a traveling event hosted by various countries in partnership with the Guild of Fine Food to highlight local cheese culture and gastronomic tourism.

Caseificio Croce has won four bronze, two silver, and one gold award. Their most awarded product is the 24-month-aged Parmigiano Reggiano, appreciated for its classic balance and intense persistence. These awards reflect the passion and commitment of its members to preserving and innovating the Parmigiano Reggiano tradition, elevating their cheese to international acclaim.
