Manteca

The manteca, a soft cheese from Alto Molise, has a shape similar to a small Caciocavallo. With a core of artisanal butter, its creamy interior melts in the mouth. The ivory-white caciocavallo cheese surrounds the butter in a sphere of about 5 cm. With a sweet taste and elastic texture, it releases aromas of cooked milk and butter.
