The DOP Roman Ricotta is distinguished by the logo featuring a sheep's head and the words "ricotta" in yellow and "romana" in red. Originating from the Agro Romano between November and June, it's derived from the milk of sheep breeds such as Sarda, Siciliana, and Comisana. Characterized by a sweet and unique flavor, it can be packaged in wicker, plastic, or metal baskets.
