Grissini Torinesi
Turin Breadsticks are a gastronomic delicacy characterized by their fragrance, lightness and crispness. Irresistible to the palate thanks to their rich and appetizing taste, they stand out for the simplicity and naturalness of the ingredients used. It is a perfect balance between taste and simplicity.
The origin of breadsticks is attributed to the famous Turin baker Antonio Brunero, who created this food in 1679 at the request of the court physician. The doctor needed a light and easily digestible food for the little Duke Victor Amadeus of Savoy, who was delicate and could not digest the crumbs of traditional bread. So Brunero invented Breadsticks, a crunchy and tasty alternative that met the young duke's needs.
