Pecorino Toscano Halal is a 100% cheese made from local milk and processed in the production area, but also follows the prescriptions of Islam to be considered Halal. This means that the cheese is produced following strict food and clothing regulations prescribed by the Islamic religion, such as the use of non-alcoholic products for cleaning equipment and correct labeling instructions. 

The difference between classic Pecorino Toscano and Pecorino Toscano Halal is therefore in the production process, approach, and knowledge of procedures in line with the Islamic religion.
